In this communication, the circularly polarized properties of 4x4 element planar microstrip equilateral triangular array antenna (METAA) printed on Yttrium ferrite substrate are presented. Two hands of circular polarization are generated when the magnetic bias is applied parallel to the wave propagation in the antenna geometry. The values of antenna parameters of array geometry as radiation conductance, radiation efficiency and bandwidth are investigated for biased and unbiased case. The analysis is based on cavity model.Keywords

Characteristics of Ni ferrite based microstrip phased array antenna in terms of the switchability, radiation patterns and gain have been investigated using transmission line model. The radiation characteristics of antenna are described with a normal magnetic bias field towards the plane of ferrite substrate considering the phase excitation difference between the patch elements π/2 and π/4. It is observed that by properly varying the relative phases, it is possible to steer the direction of radiation. This advantage is applicable in radar, search/track applications.Keywords

Laser have been well accepted by the various disciplines of the dentistry as a useful adjunct to the care of the patient as standard surgical instrument. Hard tissue application has been more difficult to develop and the search for a satisfactory alternative to the high speed dental drill continues. The application of laser technology to medicine and dentistry has entered the age of sophisticated and rationale treatment. It is important for the dental practitioner to become familiar with these principles, and then choose proper lasers for the intended clinical applications. The scientific basis and tissue effects of dental lasers must be known to accomplish a specific treatment objective.
When the first lasers were introduced, they were projected as miracle treatment. As more wavelengths and different lasers appeared, more claims followed. However, the dental fraternity soon realized that some of the claims were unsubstantiated. Thanks to the tremendous amount of research and education, clinicians now know the limitations and advantages of lasers. Laser technology for soft tissue surgery, hard tissue surgery, caries removal and cavity preparation is in a high state of refinement, having several decades of research behind it. Used in conjunction with or as a replacement for traditional methods, it is expected that specific laser technologies will become an essential component of contemporary dental practice over the next decade .Let's hope that dramatic improvements in laser devices and techniques in the coming decades, will open a new era of sophistication in the dental procedures.

Objectives : To find out the prevalence of ADHD in school going children and to study the effect of gender&socio demographic variables on ADHD children. Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) is disorder of childhood and adolescence characterized by a pattern of extreme pervasive, persistent and debilitating inattention, over activity and impulsivity (APA, 1994). ADHD is one of the most prevalent chronic health disorders affecting school age children. It is also the most frequently occurring problem in neuro-psychiatric disorders of children (Szymanski&Zolotor, 2001). Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity (ADHD) has been recognized as one of the major public health problem in a number of Western countries as well as in developing countries. The prevalence of this syndrome is difficult to specify since it varies greatly with the diagnostic criteria employed, the population of children studied and method of investigation. Also the prevalence of ADHD in school going children is increasing day by day and it has become a burning problem for the teachers and parents. Thus, the present study will be helpful in identifying students with ADHD and for their better management. Methodology: The sample of the study consisted of 370 student studying in various schools (Saskiya Prathmic Shala, chowbe colony, Saskiya Prathmic Shala, Genious Public School&Sharda Public School Mana basti) of Raipur (C.G.). The sample covered students studying in I, II,&III standards of age range 6 to 11 years. All students fulfilling their inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected. Phenomenon of coal mine fire has a long history on international magnitude in the destruction of valuable natural resources. It dominantly contributes towards adverse impact on environment. Societal influence in terms of health and life hazard is one of the key factors in mine fire areas. This paper focused on socio-economic and environmental impacts of fire in Jharia coalfield (JCF), Jharkhand, India. Issue related to mine fire in various legislations (Mines Act 1952, Coal Mine Regulation 1957, etc.) has been discussed with a view to overcome such situations. A few mitigative measures and proper management of coal mine fire has also been suggested.Keywords

Most studies of surface subsidence and its impacts have been done on underground coal mines. There are few studies on the occurrences of surface subsidence in underground metal mines, particularly in India, even though the fundamental subsidence engineering principles are the same for both coal and metal mines. The current ground-based measurement techniques monitor ground subsidence on a particular point and are time-consuming as well as costly. To study hardrock mine surface deformation due to underground mining, new and effective technologies must be adopted. The spaceborne subsidence monitoring has emerged as a better technique after the development of satellite radar interferometry. The technology is fast improving with enhanced synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensors on different spaceborne platforms. Differential interferometric SAR techniques are widely used to measure the topographic profile and surface deformations. This article reviews the applications of spaceborne SAR interferometric techniques in the prediction and monitoring of surface subsidence due to underground mining.Keywords

Education in current scenario involves lots of competition giving rise to academic stress in school children. It might emerge from anticipated academic challenges or failure. Support from parents, teachers and friends becomes all more important under these conditions. Lack of such support in the presence of academic stress might affect the psychological wellbeing of school children. Thus, the current study aims to see the association between academic stress, perceived social support and psychological wellbeing among school students. Sample comprised of 40 school students selected on the purposive basis using cross-sectional study design. Scales consisted of Academic stress scale (Kohn & Frazer, 1986), Multidimensional scale of perceived social support (Zimet & Dahlem, 1988) and General Health Questionnaire (Goldberg & Hiller, 1979). The analysis comprised of means, standard deviations and correlations by using SPSS (version-20.0). The result consisted of the effects of academic stress and perceived social support on the psychological wellbeing.Keywords

The present study deals the status of mechanization gaps for different farm operations for sustainable farming in Pusa region. Cattle farms based on grassland are dynamic system and it's difficult to manage, mainly because of their compassion to uncontrollable environmental factors. There are so many challenging issues regarding management strategies for efficient use of inputs. To meet the growing demand of population and productivity of land, agriculture mechanization is one of the important promising approaches. The outcome obtained from the survey conducted in a cattle farm of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa (Samastipur) Bihar shows approx 0.87 hp/ha utilization of farm power in terms of available machinery for farm operations which was established less than reported a value of power utilization e.g. 1.5 hp/ha for successful farm operation through mechanization. Moreover, seeds loss can be reduced during sowing operation by using specific machine. Mechanization also facilitates interculturing activities and sowing operation too which intern produces a good quality fodder. Nutritious fodder is required to enhance the quality of milk. Mechanization is an essential step to maintain the health of cattle and its produce.Keywords

In south-east Asian countries, paddy is the most important cereal crop and staple food. In India, it is grown on an area of more than 41 million ha with a production of about 111 million tones of paddy. In India establishment of rice basically depends on the availability of moisture, climatic condition, age of the variety, availability of inputs and human labour. Labour shortage and labour costing is one of the major concerns to failure of scheduled transplanting of rice. To overcome, there is a need of mechanization in the field of rice cultivation by using rice transplanter as major tool in this process. The impact of different age seedlings related to paddy cultivation and its influence was studied in the farm of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University for sustainable farming in Samastipur district. Three different age seedlings were sampled and cultivated along with all necessary cultivation requirements. The survivability and quality efficiency was measured and comparative studies were done. A strong positive correlation between seedlings age and production efficiency was observed. This practice appears useful as the results indicate high production efficiency with 26 days age seedlings transplanted with the help of self propelled 8-row rice transplanter. It can be accomplished by timely updating and application of improved technology, for instance, to uphold the quality and nutritional values of rice. Transplanting mat type seedling is becoming more popular due to its superior performance and reduced labour requirement (50 man-h/ha).Keywords

The present study deals with purpose mechanization planning to bridge the mechanization gap for different farm operations for sustainable farming in Pusa region. The results obtained from survey conducted to list out the machineries available as well as gap to the farm, the mechanization planning was suggested on the available field conditions to bridge this gap. Grassland-based cattle farms are highly dynamic systems that are difficult to manage, mostly because of their sensitivity to uncontrollable environmental factors such as weather. The results obtained from the survey conducted in the cattle farm of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University situated in Samastipur was noticed 70 hp (~0.87 hp/ha) utilization of farm power in terms of available machinery for farm operations which was calculated lower than reported a value of power utilization as 1.5 hp/ha for successful farm operation through mechanization. Mechanization of agriculture to meet the growing demand of population, productivity of land has to be enhanced. This can be done by timely application of improved technology. For good retaining the quality as well as nutritional aspects of green fodder, it is essential to harvest fodder with taking minimum operational time. Nutritious green fodder is required to enhance the quality of milk in terms of vitamin A, D, E, and K. To enhance the productivity, to reduce seed losses and to facilitate interculturing activities, it is necessary to perform sowing operation properly. Maximum production of fodder is required to meet the fodder requirement production as well as to enhance the quality of milk. Mechanization is also essential to understand the importance of maintaining the health and to aware the different initiatives being undertaken by cattle farm farmers to protect and enhance the environment.Keywords

Differential Synthetic aperture radar interferometry (D-InSAR) is a novel remote sensing technique to measure earth surface deformation. It is capable of obtaining dense information related to the deformation of a large area efficiently, economically and effectively. Therefore, D-InSAR is a promising technology for monitoring the earth surface deformation related to some natural hazardous events, such as earthquake, volcano eruption, land subsidence, landslide. In this research paper, to understand the deformation phenomena in the study area due to hard rock underground metal mining, three archive scenes dated 2011/ 03/12, 2010/03/09, 2010/01/22 of Alos Palsar single look complex data sets were processed to generate interferogarm. Cartosat-1 stereo pair data sets during the same period (2010/06/13) processed to generate a high accuracy DEM of the study area to eliminate the topographic phase as the area is hilly.Keywords

The disproportionate increase in the production of iron ore in Odisha has resulted in the accumulation of large quantity of fines ore. Although literature suggests stabilization of dumps using re-vegetation methods, the most effective method of stabilization is still in question. Hence this study was conducted to examine the effectiveness of the three different vegetation methods at fines dump namely, vegetation by coir matting, vegetation by local species and vegetation by grass. This study adopted in-situ jack shear test to find out the most efficient vegetation method for the stabilization of iron ore fine dumps. This study used a customized shear box having a dimension of 0.15m × 0.15 m ×0.15 m, which was specifically designed and fabricated to evaluate the mechanical stability of vegetated fines dump by different vegetation methods. The analysis of field data, graphical presentation and cost analysis has helped us to conclude that the plantation of local species has increased the mechanical stability of fines dump in comparison wth the plantation of grass or coir matting. Further, local species such as Karanj (Ponganna Pinnata), Shisham (Dalbergia Sissoo), Neem (Azadirachta India), Sal (Shorea Robusta), Kendu (Diospyros Melanoxylon), Amla (Phyllanthus Emblical) Jamun (Syzgium Cumini), Banyan (Ficus Benghalensis) and Krishnachura (Delonix Regia) were estimated to be more cost-effective for stabilization of fines dumps, with a possibility of extending its role towards maintaining long term stability, when compared to other methods.Keywords

Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is a spatial representation of any area or surface in the form of three dimensions (x,y,z) represent the height of the individual points (pixels) of the surface along with x and y rectangular coordinates.DEM is widely used to extract the information from many areas like subsidence/deformation monitoring, updating and preparation of drainage pattern, hydrology and water resource management etc. The selection of DEM (on the basis of accuracy) plays an important role while using it for any particular application. In some application area accuracy of DEM is not a matter of great concern. However, in some application, accuracy of DEM plays a very vital role to derive the required result.. In this study, area of interest belongs to a mineral rich zone, coming under the Khetri copper belt, a part of Northern Aravali range of hillocks in India. This particular belt is predominant with mining activities since late 1960’s. Keeping in view of deformation studies in such area using conventional DInSAR technique, accuracy of DEM (normal baseline > 200 m), should be in higher side to eliminate the local topographic phase completely. Keeping in view of above background, DEMs (relative and absolute) were generated from high resolution Cartosat-1 stereo pair dataset (IRS) using GCPs, without GCPs and GCPs collected with the help of Google Earth. RMS error obtained from different techniques were compared along with SRTM DEM (3 arc second).Vertical accuracy in terms of RMS error has been found in the order of 2.54m, 10.10m, 37.97m and 76.66m for Carosat-1 DEM (GCP collected from GNSS), SRTM, Cartosat-1DEM (without GCP) and Cartosat-1 DEM (GCP collected from Google Earth) respectively. Validation of high accuracy DEM has been demonstrated in DInSAR processing (using ALOSPALSARSLC dataset) to eliminate topographical phase of the study areaKeywords

This paper addresses an integrated wireless-fidelity (Wi-Fi) and radio frequency identification (RFID) based wireless system which has been developed for tracking of miners, wireless communication between miners and officials on surface. The system provides a walk through model in mine display and can predict mine-hazards. The system has been developed for providing emergency response using Internet of Things (IoT) enabled devices for tracking of trapped miners in a particular underground mine located using monitoring system and thereby sends real-time location to the concerned management and rescue team. The network performance has been analysed to assess the maximum operating distance, packet delivery ratio (PDR) and data communication capabilities. PDR was 6-7% more in normal surface conditions than mine environment for same transmission distance. This network analysis shows that with increase in distance between miner and the end device, the PDR decreases. Also increases in the number of hops in between end device and mine coordinator reduces the PDRKeywords
